MAIN TITLE SEQUENCE, DESIGN, AND EXPLORATION FOR FX ORIGINAL SERIES “TRUST”

John Paul Getty III was the grandson of American oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, who was once the richest man in the world. While living in Rome in 1973, he was kidnapped by the 'Ndrangheta and held for a $17 million ransom. ‘Trust’ is the FX adaptation of his harrowing story for American Television.
Going into the project blind (we didn’t get to see any footage from the show) posed an exciting challenge for me personally. I dove into research about the Getty family and their sordid (honestly toxic) family dynamic. This lead me to create an opening sequence that was dark, frantic, yet littered with gorgeous artwork found at the Getty museum and the decadent Italian architecture from which John was plucked and taken into captivity.
